We had an incident for backend API requests from the US on Friday 6th of Sept ‘24 lasting from 08:50 to 14:46 CET.
The issue was caused by missing additional hostnames in SSL certificates leading requests to fail.
The incident was caused by a replacement of infrastructure resources by resources managed in code where the additional hosts and certificates were overseen.
To resolve the incident we adjusted the terraform code to include the hostnames and created a follow up story for manual adjustments required to solve the incident.
Additionally we’ll improve our API monitoring to include SSL validation on all API endpoints.
The incident affected customers and carriers sending requests to api.us.parcellab.com and api.parcellab.com from the US with SSL validation on
calling our webhooks was not possible
T&T page was not working from US
Salesforce-Plugin was not working from US
Other systems like product-api, portals and backend workers were not affected.
We apologise for the inconvenience and we’ll do our best to support any tasks caused by this.
